How can you manifest things you want in your life? By being clear on what you actually want, in detail. By being able to feel, love and enjoy and believe it. Being aware of the steps you need to take to ensure that you can manifest what you want in life.

Is manifestation a part of The Law of Attraction

Manifesting things you want in life, is part of the law of attraction. It is based on the belief that you can manifest anything you want such as happiness, health, love, situations and circumstances. It is a belief, that your vibrations can help draw positive energy and fulfil your deepest desires.

How does Manifestation work

Manifestation is easy to understand, but hard to implement. It relates to the energy you generate around you by thoughts, feelings, beliefs and actions. For instance when you wake up in the morning and think ‘this is going to be a bad day’ then yes your day will gradually go down hill. 

If you reverse this and say to yourself ‘today is going to be a brilliant’ then I promise it will. You are projecting that energy into the universe.

Can you use the Law of Attraction occasionally to create things you want in life

You cannot just switch the Law of attraction on and off whenever you feel like it. It is with you all the time, even if you do not realise it.

How did I first hear of the law of attraction

Several years ago I was going through a very hard period in my life. My sister mentioned the Law of attraction to me. I have to be honest, this was not really my thing, but I purchased The Secrets book. I did find this very hard to read, as it was not the type of book I was used to. I was intrigued as to how people can create their perfect life through positive thinking. 

Instead of trying to struggle with The Secrets book, I decided to purchase the DVD instead. It was easier to understand. Plus I am a visual person and I found it much more interesting and easier to understand.

Overtime The Law of Attraction began to click into place a little bit at a time. I began to listen to various different audio books. Which gave me a greater understanding of how your mindset affects your everyday life.

Another recommendation is an audio book by Jo Vitale ‘The secret to attracting money’. It is £7.99 and over 6 hours long. Ignore the title as it is not all about attracting money. A great deal of the audio book relates to mindset.

If you do not mind Youtube, you can find this on there, so you can listen for free. 

Jo Vitale explains clearly how to find peace and understanding, in order for the law of attraction to work.  He has many books but this is the one I keep going back to. I have lost count how many times I have listened to the audio book.

Has The Law of Attraction solved my problems

I am not saying the law of attraction has solved all of my problems. It has allowed  me to understand how to love myself and be a peace with myself. Which is important, as if you cannot love yourself, how can you love another person. Or even expect that person to love you.

Understand that you have to forgive yourself, others, and your past actions before you can move on in your life path. This involves not holding onto any grudges against others or yourself. Holding grudges produces negative energy.

Forgiving others can be very hard, whether relating to relationships, work or any other aspects in your life. But you have to learn how to do this so you can move forward with your life and your desires.

Importance of appreciating what you have in you life

How can you manifest what you want if you do not appreciate what you already have. This is very important to understand. Look at what you have around you and learn to appreciate it. Not just monetary items you own, but your family and friends.

Find 5 minutes a day and look around at what you have. Look at it closely, understand what it does and the potential of that object.

Jo Vitale explains how he learnt the art of appreciation, by just looking at a simple pencil. He stopped viewing this pencil as just  an item that he can write with. He looks more in depth at the pencil. What he says makes sense and it is brilliant.

Energies to attract positivity

Everybody is responsible for their own energy they produce. I am not talking about physical energies. Think about the people you work with or friends and family. Ask yourself the following questions.

How do they make you feel when you are around some people

  • Happy
  • Frustrated 
  • Depressed
  • Angry
  • Less worthy

I started to question how I felt with people I associated with in my everyday life. At times I would feel very down, negative and I could not understand why. Until I read and understood the Law of Attraction. This made me aware and understand, that the people you attract in your life relates to how you feel.  

Depending on the type of person, others can very quickly affect how you feel day to day. In order to put this into context. Think back to a day at work, somebody who is near you is in a really awful mood. How does this make you feel? Quiet, sad, and eventually annoyed.

They are encasing you in their energy. At the time if negative, angry or annoyed, it will have an impact on you personally. I have gradually realized how other people’s energy has made me feel and I walk away. Some people thrive on negativity. If this is the case, it is probably best not to become involved with them. Or at least not spend so much time with them if you can help it

How to attract positive energy

When you arrive in an office, or even when you are walking in the high street.  Test other people’s reactions to you. You can do this by smiling and saying hello. Put energy behind it and see how people react. Not only will this make you feel better in yourself, it may make their day a lot better also.

Instead of feeling down or put upon at work or in life in general, imagine yourself living the life you want. But you have to actually feel it, the happiness you would feel when you are actually able to do this.

By creating the image and living it with feelings, excitement and happiness. You are sending out the message to the universe to help manifest what you want in your life. When you are doing this think of the smallest details and include them.

Eliminate negative energy to help manifest your dreams


Negative energy is more heavy than positive energy. So for every positive thought you create if you also send out a negative message, this will offset all of your positivity.

If you feel yourself becoming negative, grab and pen and paper and list things in your life that you are grateful for. Find some joyful music that has an uplifting beat and lyrics. Surround yourself with positive people and they will help you to eliminate the negative thoughts.

Change your view of words to eliminate negativity

Try not to say the words ‘if, can’t, never, no’ as you are projecting the negativity before you even start. Change these to ‘when, in the future’. It is important to understand that negativity has more gravity than positivity. Even if you innocently say a negative word, this will have a greater impact and overtake the positive words or thoughts you have had.

Think back to when you were growing up. How often did your parents say ‘no’ to you, how did this make you feel?  When you ask for that one toy, the answer was ‘no, we cannot afford this’ or ‘money does not grow on trees’.

Without realising, this is imprinted on your subconscious as you are growing up. This may be the cause of you not being able to move forward in your life. I am not saying this is your parents fault. As a parent I have said this to my son in the past. But after learning about the Law of Attraction, I have altered the way that I respond to my son. 

How I tested the law of attraction

A major issue for me was traffic after work. It would drive me crazy, as like everybody I just wanted to get home. There was always one section of my journey that would delay me by about 10 – 20 minutes a night. No good when really I was only a 5 minute drive from home.

I would imagine myself driving home, no hold ups at roundabouts, and hardly any traffic on the roads. After a few days I began to realise that it was working. I was leaving work at the same time, and the traffic would just flow niceley. Because this was working for me after about a week I stopped imagining this journey.  Yes my journey home gradually got worse. So I started from scratch again.

Create a Vision Board

A vision board is photos of things that you really want in your life. For instance on my vision board I have my future house, two holiday locations, contentment and the major one for me is finally leaving my 9-5 job and being financially free.

My vision board is located where I can view it every day. You can place your vision photos on your fridge, or cupboards. Somewhere you can view everyday that will motivate you to reach for you goals.

When it is peaceful I sit in my office at home, and just look at my photos. I allow myself to feel what it would mean to me pulling onto my driveway at my dream home. Walking into my home and telling my son that I have booked our most wanted holiday. Watch and feel the happiness radiating from him. I allow myself to feel the moment, and the excitement. This sends out positive energy into the universe. I know that in the future this will happen.

Simple steps to start manifesting what you want in life


It is important that you be very specific with what you want to manifest. That you think of the different stages you need to take in order to manifest the things you want in life.

Find time either first thing in the morning or before bedtime to take these following steps. This should be a quiet place, where you can close your eyes and envision the life that you want to lead.

Within this life, make sure you surround yourself with people that you want. Who bring you joy and who you want to share your life with.

Feel the moments such as travel, environment, happiness, and pinpoint exact moments to hold onto. 

Allow these feelings to seep through your body. So that you can feel deep inside of you, feel the build up of these emotions and actions.

Repeat this everyday and each time you do this, you are one day closer to what you want in your life.
